Walter Hagen Golf Clubs Review

Checking out the Walter Hagen Golf Club set? Want to know if they’re worth the hype and money?

We got you covered.

We got the ENTIRE review along with the pros and cons just for you!

What’s So Good About the Walter Hagen Golf Set?

This golf set of clubs is made with tight seams in their fabrication giving it a sophisticated look with optimized performance.

The hybrids are made to be less prone to dents or paint chips.

But what makes them good for many golfers?

What’s Included?

The Wolf Hagen club set is a 19 piece golf set that contains the following:

  • A 460cc driver
  • 3 wood
  • 3 hybrid irons
  • 6-PW regular irons
  • Sand wedge
  • Putter
  • Stand bag
  • 5 headcovers
  • Raincover

How Much Does It Cost?

What’s that? Good quality golf set for an inexpensive price?

The Walter Hagen brand checks both of those off!

The Walter Hagen clubs complete set retails for $149.98 (listed price is $399) at Dick’s Sporting Goods including the stand bag.

Usually, a golf brand would sell a complete set for even a thousand dollars.

But after playing a couple of rounds with these clubs, they seem comparable to other name brand sets such as Taylormade and Titleist

A top-quality bag would cost $150 alone, good drivers would normally cost around $300, and hybrids retail for $200.

Would you wanna spend more money and buy all the equipment separately? We don’t think so!

The Pros and Cons of Walter Hagen Golf Club Set

#1 Great driver

The 460cc driver stands out.

Its driver has one of the sweetest spots, the ball really goes off the club even if it is a wrong hit.

#2 Great hybrid irons

The hybrid irons from this set are highly different from the rest.

They also have the feel of hitting a normal iron shot with the ease and distance of hitting a fairway wood.

These make a great hit to both on and off the tee and shoot right out of the rough

And if you are a slow swinger golfer, you can get the set in graphite shafts for the same price.

You can’t find such inexpensive golf sets with such fantastic hybrid irons anywhere else!

#3 Great putter

The putter from each of the golf club sets can help a beginner golfer learn how to align putts.

However, the kind of putter that it has is not recommended for veterans and experienced golfers.

#1 Not the best sand wedge

The sand wedge does not offer the best when it comes to shots around the green,

However, at least that’s what we can expect from an inexpensive club set.

#2 Worn out stand bag

The stand bag that it comes with is fine, but after a few rounds, it already seems to start getting worn out.

It may need to be replaced after a year or two.

#3 Clubs don’t cut through

The grooves from this set also seem to be wearing off a bit quickly.

The club doesn’t seem to cut through the rough as great as a name-brand wedge-like Cleveland or Ping.

Essential Note

When you’re just learning to play the game, there isn’t much point in putting out a thousand dollars for your equipment.

At that skill level, any club from different categories will work as long as they aren’t absolutely horrible.

Any brand will do as long as you practice from distance to distance and practice your swing at the same time.

Final Words

Overall, we think that the entire set is worth the money, especially for beginners.

But, If you’ve been golfing for a while, your money might be spent more wisely on a higher quality set of used clubs for sale.
